Naba Al-Ikram transfers pilgrims between their hotels and the Haramain high-speed railway stations in Makkah and Madinah. Departures are timed against the train actually booked rather than against hoped-for traffic, and on arrival the driver watches the train rather than the timetable, taking bags at the concourse.

The truth about the Haramain train

We will never tell you not to take the Haramain High-Speed Train. For a solo traveller with a single backpack it is an engineering marvel. But for families, elderly pilgrims and anyone carrying Zamzam water, the train has real operational friction points, and those are what we exist to solve.

The realities of the train station

Luggage constraints. The railway strictly enforces one large suitcase per passenger — 25 kg maximum, 65×55×35 cm — plus one piece of hand luggage. Extra bags cannot be loaded into your coach and must be sent by independent cargo courier days in advance.

The last-mile gap. When the train glides into Makkah Rusaifah station you are still outside the core city. Getting five family members, baby strollers and heavy bags down from the platform, through the turnstiles and into the station taxi queue often takes longer than the train ride itself.

Station-to-hotel concierge. Naba Al-Ikram provides dedicated meet-and-assist directly at Makkah Rusaifah and Madinah train stations. We meet you at the platform exit, wheel your bags to our van in the VIP bay, and deliver you to your hotel door.

Zamzam water

Unlike the train, with its tight baggage and liquid carriage restrictions, our GMC Yukons and Toyota HiAce executive vans have the boot space for your suitcases and factory-sealed Nusuk Zamzam bottles without anyone losing legroom.

Questions About This Journey

Can we carry five-litre Zamzam bottles in the vehicle?

Yes. Unlike the high-speed train, which has tight baggage and liquid carriage restrictions, our GMC Yukons and Toyota HiAce executive vans have the boot space for your suitcases and factory-sealed Nusuk Zamzam bottles without infringing on passenger legroom.
