Makkah Ziyarat

The Naba Al-Ikram Makkah Ziyarat circuit covers Jabal al-Nour and the Cave of Hira from the roadside, Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat, and Jabal Thawr. It is timed away from the heaviest coach traffic, with a driver who knows which gate is open.

Sacred geography, not obligatory ritual

The most important thing I tell pilgrims before we leave the hotel is this: Ziyarat is an educational journey of contemplation and history. It is not an obligatory ritual of Umrah. There is no spiritual penalty if your health prevents you from visiting Jabal al-Nour.

What the three-hour private drive covers

Jabal al-Nour and the Cave of Hira. We view the mountain from the base. The climb to the cave is steep — around 1,750 steps, about 90 minutes on foot — so our tour stops at the foot of the mountain and the Hira Cultural District, where elders and families can see the peak safely in air-conditioned comfort.

Jabal Thawr. The cave in the southern heights of Makkah where the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (RA) sheltered for three days during the Hijrah.

The Hajj grounds — Mina, Muzdalifah and Mount Arafat. Outside the Hajj days these valley plains are peaceful and quiet. We drive past the Namirah Mosque, the foot of Jabal al-Rahmah and the pedestrian bridges of Jamarat, which gives children and first-time pilgrims vivid context for verses they have only read.
